A very special Semillon that has been patiently aging at Glenguin since being bottled in 2013.
At four years of age, this wine is still showing remarkable freshness on the palate. This is more traditional Hunter Valley Semillon then we’ve made more recently. Limes dominate, however the acid shows remarkable balance that is the hallmark of our Semillon over the years. Little hints of honey show where this wine is going to go over the coming half decade, but the true test will be if it lasts that long, such is its deliciousness now.
Aged Hunter Valley Semillon is one of the most unique wines in Australia, and it matches perfectly with deeper flavoured fish dishes like this oven-baked salmon.
